Devolver Digital announce Minos, a mine-building roguelike

A Steam demo is out now.
Minos

Developer Artificer and publisher Devolver Digital have together announced Minos, “a maze-building roguelike where you, the fabled minotaur of legend, must defend your sanctuary from hordes of bloodthirsty adventurers”.

The team says that the adventures have “heard the stories of a fearsome monster lurking in the dark, fame and riches waiting for the one who slays it and survives to tell the tale”, adding that “What they don’t know is that you are the one who built this confounding labyrinth, laid the traps, and now lie in wait.”.

It sounds pretty fun, and you can check out the new trailer, below:

Even better, there’s a demo out now which aims to give you a taste of the game ahead of the 2026 release. Wishlists are open now, as well, on Steam of course. The developer (Artificer) is behind ShowGunners, a pretty excellent game, so hopefully Minos will continue the level of quality shown for that one.

Drag walls, gates, and corridors into place to shape your maze however you like. Make long, winding paths full of traps or confuse and split the interlopers up with rotating passages and shifting gates. It’s your maze: clever or cruel, it’s up to you.

Every run brings new enemies, new traps, and new ways to turn their bravery into a bloody disaster. No two nights are ever the same in Minos, and as you play you’ll learn more about this not-so-mythical minotaur and the man who became it.

Uncover the story behind the Minotaur and the man who became it. What drove Daedalus to create such a place? When Theseus finally comes, you’ll decide who deserves to walk out alive.

Minos is coming to PC via Steam in 2026.
