Solo developer Yannick Audéoud and publisher Misty Whale have together announced that puzzle-game Orbyss is out today on PC via Steam.
“This is a game about perception,” says solo developer Yannick Audéoud. “Each puzzle asks you to slow down, think carefully, and view things from a new angle. It’s been an absolute dream to see players connect with this world and I can’t wait to see how far they’ll go now that the full journey is here.”
The publisher explains: “Orbyss blends strict logic with imagination and creativity. Across 8 chapters and 40+ handcrafted rooms, players are introduced to new mechanics at every turn, making each puzzle feel fresh and mentally rewarding.” Misty Whale adds: “The atmospheric original soundtrack of Orbyss was composed by Pierre Estève (Atlantis series), who crafted an ambient, minimalist score that takes players on a meditative journey.”
Set in a bioluminescent realm teetering between harmony and corruption, Orbyss tasks players with navigating from Orb to Orb to solve intricate logic puzzles. Along the way, they’ll bend time, fly drones, compose sound, and outsmart the creeping shadows threatening to consume the world.
Orbyss has a 14-day launch discount, taking it down to 14.99$ / 14.79€, and a console release is set for a “later date”. There’s a demo on Steam as well, if you fancy trying it out. We’ve dropped the key features below as well:
