Esoteric Ebb is coming to PC on March 3rd

Next month is heating up.
Esoteric Ebb

Raw Fury has announced the release date for Disco Elysium-styled CRPG Esoteric Ebb, from developer Christoffer Bodegård, and it’s very soon. In fact, so soon, it’s next week, with a March 3rd release date now confirmed.

On the Steam page, the game is described as follows: “Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.

Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.”

We had a chance to play some Esoteric Ebb last year, and we said: “The zany plot, plethora of things to do and compulsive dice rolling have me extremely excited to play the finished article. We were privy to a short opening segment but even this snippet of fifteen minutes showed the sheer scope of what is being put together here. I laughed several times, had a comedic punch up with a zombie, and came into contact with the horrifying concept of Mosquito Sand, something which I wont forget in a hurry.”

Likewise, in another preview, Lyle said: “Esoteric Ebb might just be the next Raw Fury masterpiece that takes the world by storm. Combining D&D style dice rolls with an intriguing point and click adventure story, Esoteric Ebb shows off quite how impressive it is with this demo. With so many ways to build your character to succeed in conversations, so much branching dialogue and simply superb writing, I didn’t want this striking title to end even in demo form.”

Esoteric Ebb is coming to PC via Steam on March 3rd.
