The dynamic VR developer, Soul Assembly, has announced that Drop Dead: The Cabin, their critically acclaimed co-op VR survival shooter, will be coming to PC via Steam later this year as a standalone title. The game is available to add to your wishlist today, to become one of the first to face the terror when it launches.
Drop Dead: The Cabin originally launched on Meta Quest and was praised for its tense atmosphere, challenging gameplay and high level of replayability. Drop Dead immerses players in a forest shrouded by fog and swarming with undead threats, challenging them to survive the night and secure extraction. It has been described as a “love letter to classic 1980s horror”.
Drop Dead: The Cabin has various key features, including expanded 4-player co-op, meaning players can squad up with three friends and fight to survive in intense scenarios, working together as a team to fend off relentless waves of zombies and other monstrous creatures. Additionally, the game implements dynamic, rogue-like elements, ensuring that no run is the same as the last, providing players with randomised enemy spawning and locations of resources and objectives.
When immersed in this stylised world inspired by classic 80s horror films, players will have no choice but to scavenge for weapons, ammo and fuel, crucial to maintaining power and communication systems necessary for survival and successful extraction.
This all-new PC version of the game brings it to life and really makes it pop with improved texture quality and refined post-processing effects. PC players can look forward to refined controls, optimised performance and the same action bound to make your heart race that VR players have come to love.
With the addition of 4-player co-op and crossplay functionality, Drop Dead: The Cabin aims to deliver a definitive survival horror experience on PC set to arrive to Steam later this year. Wishlist the game here.
