We’ve seen all sorts of musical crossovers in Fortnite, with everyone from Metallica and Snoop Dogg to Eminem and Sabrina Carpenter playable in the game (and with music you can jam along to). The next band to get a big showcase in the massive multiplayer mega hit are Daft Punk, with The Daft Punk Experience dropping later this month. It’ll feature all sorts of ways to experience the music of Daft Punk, and alongside this there will be a new bundle of Daft Punk cosmetics available in the shop.
“The Daft Punk Experience is a new immersive tribute coming to Fortnite to celebrate the Grammy-winning duo’s iconic sound and vision. A first of its kind in Fortnite, players are taken on a cosmic voyage from the world of Battle Royale to the world of Daft Punk – a fully interactive playground that includes multiple rooms with different ways to experience the band’s music. The experience grand opening is on September 27 at 2:00 PM ET, with doors opening to the pre-event lobby at 1:30pm ET.
A new Daft Punk Bundle will also be available in the Fortnite Shop starting September 25 at 8 PM ET. Accessories include the signature GM08 helmet, outfit, and accessories (both in Fortnite and LEGO styles); TB3 helmet, outfit, and accessories (both in Fortnite and LEGO styles); along with instruments and a “Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers)” Jam Track.”
At this point there’s a Fortnite character out there for everyone, and I’m sure that for some Daft Punk fans that’ll be GM08. The reactive elements and different styles are pretty damn exciting, and with those extra V Bucks I have lying around I might just be tempted to see if I can “Get Lucky” with some Victory Royales after an outfit change.
