Tying in nicely with the fact that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is released today across multiple formats, Mega Man has been announced as coming to the game via the season pass.
The season pass includes playable characters, vehicles, and courses, as follows:
- Minecraft: Playable characters include Alex, Steve, Creeper as well as a Minecraft- themed course and vehicle
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Playable characters include SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick as well as a SpongeBob SquarePants themed course and vehicle
- Pac-Man: Playable characters include Pac-Man and rival ghosts as well as PAC-MAN themed course and vehicle
- Mega Man: Playable characters include Mega Man, Proto Man, and a Mega Man themed course and vehicle
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: More details to come!
- Avatar Legends: More details to come!
There are also Sonic Prime playable characters such as Knuckles the Dread, Rusty Rose, and Tails Nine. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has so many characters to choose from, it’s almost a celebration of gaming on the whole, especially with those crossovers such as this newly announced Capcom / Mega Man one.
In our recent Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds review, Lyle said: “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds isn’t just the best racing game I’ve played all year, it’s the best racing game I’ve played in ages. The racing is frantic and fun, the variety of characters and weapons is impressive, and the amount of content is simply wild. If you go into this kart racer expecting it to struggle against its peers then you’re in for a shock, because Sonic and company are now in a league of their own.”
He gave the game a massive 9.5/10 score, so if you’re into Kart racers, you should probably give this one a go.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is out today (September 25th) on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
