Shown during the Future Games Show, publisher Critical Reflex has shown a new look at upcoming immersive sim, Militsioner.
That’s not all, however, because there’s also an open playtest for Militsioner available now on Steam. The team says you can “explore a dynamic clockwork town, navigate the colossal policeman’s changing needs and emotions, and use your wits to escape from his watchful eye your own way.”
You’re an ordinary nobody, who has never done anything noteworthy, let alone… a crime. It must be a mistake, – yet this morning you were arrested. Pack your stuff and leave as fast as possible, but be wary – every move you make is being followed by a Giant Policeman.
Here’s some of the key features for the game:
- You’re Always Being Watched: You can run, but you can’t hide from the Militsioner. Everything you do is monitored – from stealing, to vandalism, to being a menace to the local townsfolk.
- Judgment Is Inevitable: There will be moments where you’ll have to decide what kind of person you are – and the town responds accordingly. Maybe you can build goodwill through meaningful conversations and have the townsfolk assist you. Or perhaps you’re more likely to use people as pawns to achieve your goals. Either way, the town always remembers.
- There’s No Such Thing As A Simple Escape: This immersive sim isn’t for the faint of heart. You’ll need to learn the lay of the land, wait until the Militsioner is at his most vulnerable, and put your escape plan into action. But be warned. The consequences of a failed scheme could cost more than you’re willing to pay.
Militsioner is coming to PC.
