Developer Prideful Sloth and publisher CULT Games has just announced the Halloween update (Haunt ‘n’ Hustle) for Go-Go Town! has dropped on Steam for all players.

The teams say that: “Mayors can deck out their towns with creepy décor, festive flair, and even a few fang-tastic surprises.”

As you’d expect for this kind of seasonal content, the update is free. However, the game is also 25% off if you’ve been eyeing it up on Steam, and fancy dropping some cash on it now.

Here’s some of the key features for the spooky update:

  • Spooky Décor: Four brand-new creepy plants, a fresh fence type, and a mysterious marker stone to set the mood.
  • New Vendor: A seasonal trader has arrived, selling the new items as well as fan-favorite Halloween décor like jack-o’-lanterns.
  • Festive Fashion: Seasonal backpacks and fang types so mayors can embrace their spookiest looks.
  • Haunted Mazes Await: New hedge variations that match different grass types, perfect for building your own labyrinth of doom.

Go-Go Town! is coming to Switch 2 in 2026, and this update follows on from many others, such as the Tourist Trap one, which added new visitor types and a lot more.

The game is currently in early access, with the developer saying: “We have so many fun ideas on how to expand Go-Go Town! after release, but our plan is to first reach what feels like a strong “1.0” state and wrap up Early Access (check out the roadmap to see what that means in reality!)

As we continue to work through EA with the community, we’ll be able to communicate dates more clearly; our current intention is to stay in EA for at least 1 year and will launch into V1 in the first half of 2026!”

Go-Go Town! is in early access on PC now.
