Players determine their own fate by creating their starting deck and equip themselves with ancient relics of power to enhance combat gameplay. Tempt fate and fortune with modifiers that both negatively and positively affect a run.
Additionally, all XP points obtained when playing Custom Mode will transfer to Story Mode, allowing players to continue grinding for XP without losing any progress.
Players are called down a mysterious path shrouded in unanswered questions towards the Northern Gate, where a deserted throne longs for a worthy ruler to sit upon it. The fate of Midian lies unstably in the hands of the players as they continue to explore and uncover their inconvenient doom. Each and every decision will carve the path of destiny, shaping the fates of goblins, orcs and elves in both incredible and gnarly ways.
Players are forced to adapt to persistent challenges that stand in their way as the terrain and tides of their journey continue to shape themselves. To overcome these challenges, you must summon allies to aid you in battle, cast powerful and magical spells and strengthen your defenses. There are over 200 exclusive items, varying from ancient armour to magical weapons, each imparting all-powerful abilities and reinforcing your mastery with both active powers and passive blessings.
