One of the more exciting aspects of the Nintendo Switch 2 release is that some older games will be playable now on the system, on the go, such as Wild Hearts S.
Koei Tecmo is supporting the launch of the Switch 2 with Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition, but Wild Hearts S (the Monster Hunter title that isn’t Monster Hunter, but is very very good) is also coming later on, with a July 25th release date.
A new video has been released (with Japanese voiceover) showing off nearly 15 minutes of gameplay, and it looks great.
In the video, two of the producers of Wild Hearts S show off a four-player co-op session. You get to see how you get instantly create things with your Karakuri. The translation of the YouTube video description (via Google), says:
The Nintendo Switch 2 supports multiplayer for up to four players, and while retaining the unique fun of the game in which you create a wide variety of Karakuri to aid in your hunt and freely wield unique weapons to fight against beasts, you can experience even deeper hunting.
The official description for the original 2023 game reads:
WILD HEARTS is a unique twist on the hunting genre, where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op.
No one remembers why the Kemono began their rampage through a once-prosperous Azuma. Fuelled by desperation, they wield the power of primal nature at its most destructive. For a while, it seemed that none could stand against their overwhelming might. But hope arrives in the form of a formidable hunter armed with deadly weapons and ancient technology called Karakuri that could turn the tide of battle.
Wild Hearts S is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 25th.
