Polyarc has announced Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss, a new title blending real-time action and strategy, and it’s coming to Meta Quest and Steam this “holiday”.
The team says this announcement is following on from “successful early access and beta periods”, adding that “the game is set to launch as a full premium experience enhanced with deeper and exciting features including additional maps and Champions, player progression, leaderboards, new modes to challenge yourself or step into the arena with friends, and more.”
“When we tried VR more than 10 years ago, we imagined the sense of immersion and connection you could have with friends and characters would bring an added level of excitement and joy to the types of games we loved. And with a team passionate for competitive games, Glassbreakers was the first prototype we pulled together. I mean, who wouldn’t want to bring to life their childhood action figure toys in a real-time battle set in an immersive fantasy world?!” said Chris Bourassa, lead designer, Polyarc.
In Glassbreakers, players choose their combination of three Champions from a roster of some of the most heroic, notorious, and fascinating creatures from the world of Moss for easy pick-up-and-play PvP. Each Champion has their own unique abilities that complement the others on their squad. Players can fight against or with friends in private games, or match with similarly skilled players in the community as they develop deep mastery and progression.
Every game presents its own unique opportunities and challenges as ever-changing squad combinations, randomized maps each with their own board objectives, and differing playstyles bring endless variety to this exciting game of real-time tactical thrillswhere players will command the arena, rise as champions and become legendary!
“We already have a strong and passionate community that’s been active since day one. They’ve been very supportive in hosting events and tournaments during the Beta and providing feedback that helped shape the game that’s launching this Holiday,” said Kristen Carlisle, social and community manager, Polyarc. “Our goal with Glassbreakers is to empower the community to be as involved with the game as they want to be and make sure they’re rewarded for their efforts.”
Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss is coming to PC via Steam and Meta Quest this holiday.
