Developer Creepy Jar has announced the early access Steam release date for upcoming open world base builder, StarRupture.
The developer is previously known for Green Hell, a popular survival game that also came to VR headsets, but StarRupture will be coming to early access on January 6th, 2026.

In StarRupture, you are a prisoner serving your sentence on a faraway planet where danger lurks at every turn. Tasked with building a factory and gathering resources for global corporations that don’t care if you live or die, survival on Arcadia-7 is anything but guaranteed. Not only will you have to defend your base from menacing enemies, but you’ll also have to prepare for a somewhat more terrifying threat; the planet’s very own life-giving—and taking—star, Ruptura.
Featuring an electrifying mix of base building, exploration, combat, mystery, and survival, both solo or in a 4-player co-op, StarRupture is an out-of-this-world experience that is launching in Steam Early Access on January 6th, 2026.
Regarding the early access period, Creepy Jar says it will “take community feedback, refine every detail, and deliver the StarRupture experience their audience deserves.” The developer adds: “Originally expected to launch in the Autumn of this year, Creepy Jar is committed to delivering the best possible experience, and the player’s passion seen during the playtest has only fueled Creepy Jar’s drive to do more. The extra time means more polish, more improvements, and more reasons for players to fall in love with StarRupture when it launches on Steam early next year.”
StarRupture is coming to PC early access on January 6th, 2026.
