Sliding-tile puzzle game Tile Tales: Pirate is coming to PC and consoles this year, and the developer NineZyme is releasing a demo as part of Steam Next Fest.
As with many of the Next Fest demos, it won’t be around forever, but will be available from now (February 18th), and will be until March 3rd.
Tile Tales: Pirate is already out on iOS and Android devices, with a Steam version aimed for Q1 of 2025. The Switch version is planned for “Q2”, with the Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 versions coming in Q3.
Here’s the key features from the press release (warning: contains pirate puns!):
- Plenty of puzzlin’: 90 levels across 9 bootyful biomes ranging from sunny beaches to dark and moody graveyards where more than just treasure lies buried.
- Collect Treasures: X marks the spot, but ye wouldn’t be a pirate if ye left any treasures on yer route there. Plunder anything shiny and become the richest pirate of the seven seas.
- Give Yer Peg Leg A Break: Earn more stars for completing levels with no wasted moves. Wooden legs don’t just grow on trees ye know… (oh wait, they do!)
- Pirates Are Not Known For Their Patience: Use the Fast Forward button to get there fastarrr or undo yer mistakes (not that a cunning captain like yerself would ever make any)
- Cutlass Cutscenes: Enjoy funny animations and interactions throughout the adventure and by the end, yer belly will be as full of laughter as it is filled with rum.
Set sail with your hapless, gold-obsessed pirate captain as he navigates treacherous terrain in search of the ultimate treasure. Slide tiles to create paths for your captain to traverse, guiding him to his destination while collecting shiny loot along the way. A light-hearted adventure suitable for all ages and packed with a treasure trove of pirate humor!
The plunderful sliding-tile puzzle game takes you on a swashbuckling journey filled with treasures and laughs! With the mobile release already available and a nearing PC release visile in the binoculars, there is no stopping this pirate ship!
