One of the most interesting announcement that came out of the Warhammer Skulls event this week was that developer Sneaky Box is preparing to release Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, a 4K re-release of Relic Entertainment’s third-person classic.
Originally released in 2011, Space Marine introduced the world to Captain Demetrian Titus, then played by Mark Strong. The revamped version, which releases on PC and Xbox Series S and X via Game Pass on June 10, features boosted 4k resolution, a graphical overhaul, enhanced character models and more. In addition to visual enhancements, Space Marine – Master Crafter Edition also boasts remastered audio, and an improved UI that it makes it easier to cycle through your devastating arsenal as you face down the Ork invasion of a Forgeworld called Graia. Witness the origins of the Ultramarine hero who took the fight to the Tyranid Hive and Chaos hordes in 2024’s Space Marine 2.

We aimed to preserve the spirit of the original while modernizing the experience for today’s players. While the brutal campaign will benefit from updated lore, better Ork AI, and improved character models, Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition will also feature 8v8 online multiplayer where you can earn and upgrade armour and weaponry to improve your chances of survival.
