Warhammer Skulls is Games Workshop’s annual announcement event created to showcase the latest and brightest upcoming video games based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe. This year’s streamed event broke viewing records with over 30 million views, while the showcase also led to over 15 million views of individual trailers, and saw four of the games hit 6-figure Wishlists on Steam. And it’s hardly a surprise given some of the reveals.

Hosted by actor, gamer, and Warhammer fan Rahul Kohli, Warhammer Skulls 2025 showcased some excellent upcoming DLCs (some of which are out now) and some great new games such as Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy from Rogue Trader developer Owlcat Games, Boltgun 2 from Auroch Digital, and Space Marine Master Crafted Edition, the precursor to last year’s fantastic third-person squad shooter Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2.

Speaking of which, it also showcased the Siege Mode for Space Marine 2, which is out today, and Arbites-themed DLC for both Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader and Warhammer 40K: Darktide, as well as the Definitive Edition of strategy classic Dawn of War. The DLC for Darktide introduces a new Arbites class who comes with a cyber mastiff companion, while Rogue Trader’s new Lex Imperialis DLC features a similar new class and 15 hours of additional story content.

This week has seen a glut of Warhammer 40K releases across multiple platforms, as well as a brand sale on Steam, and highlights just how incredibly popular Games Workshop’s grimdark universe has become in recent years – thanks in large part to the runaway success of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. But if you’re a fan of this wartorn universe at all, you will definitely find something you like in videogame form, from first person boomer shooters like Boltgun to Baldur’s Gate 3-like CRPGs such as Rogue Trader.

Warhammer Skulls will be back for its tenth anniversary in 2026.
