Missed yesterday’s Convergence Games Showcase? We’ve got the lowdown on everything shown.
Hosted by Dodger and Jesse Cox, in partnership with IGN, the event debuted over 30 highly anticipated AA and Indie games for 2026, including first gameplay reveals, world premieres, and exclusive content from Curve Games, Gambit Digital, and Playside.
With over 30 games shown I’m not going to bore you with all the details, however here are a few of my personal highlights:
A Storied Life: Tabitha got a release date of April 14. This cute and wholesome narrative puzzle game is about completing a loved one’s damaged memories by exploring their home and packing away things, and it looks delightful and devastating in equal measure.
DenshAttack!, the train-slash-skating game with gorgeous, vibrant visuals got a new gameplay trailer. There’s something incredibly striking about the aesthetic that definitely has me interested, especially after reading Lyle’s thoughts in his DenshAttack! preview.
“Fishing survival horror” is a criminally underserved genre, with only the excellent Dredge carrying the flag as far as I know. Luckily we now have Drowned Lake joining it, with a very creepy Blair Witch aesthetic that’s sure to have me needing a change of undies.
Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime not only has one of the best names in the show but, for fans of streamers, it probably has one of the best casts too with talent including Ludwig, Lilypichu, IronMouse and other people I’m too old to know about. This tactical turn based “Frogtime” game certainly looks interesting though.
How Many Dudes? was the game with the best name at the show and also one of the most intriguing premises. Similar to last year’s “100 men vs. 1 gorilla” debate, the dude-building roguelike has you recruiting dudes to win increasingly bizarre battles. How many dudes does it take to beat up a gorilla? How about a horse-sized duck? Or 1000 toddlers? You’ll find out here.
Mouse P.I. For Hire gave us a first peek at a boss battle in the latest trailer, and it really is a handsome game, isn’t it? You’ll be launching dynamite and firing off your Tommy gun all in that gorgeous 20’s cartoon style and I can’t wait to try it.
Please, Watch the Artwork is described as a weird and psychological puzzle adventurer and I’m not sure what else to add to that. Just watch the trailer.
Having just played the demo myself, Wax Heads was my personal highlight. As mentioned in my Wax Heads preview, this game is really bloody cool, with you serving customers in Repeater Records while getting embroiled in a David vs. Goliath story between your little indie store and “The Man”.
