Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties

Sega and RGG Studio has announced a demo for February’s Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is hitting PC and consoles, and it’s happening very soon.

The demo will let you try out both of the “two-games-in-one”, as follows:

  • In Yakuza Kiwami 3, players can explore Ryukyu, Okinawa as Kazuma Kiryu, beating down bad guys while dynamically switching between Kiryu’s brutal Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami and weapon-based Ryukyu styles and indulging in immersive side experiences like karaoke, sub-stories, outfit customization and more.
  • In Dark Ties, players can enjoy a slice of the all-new story featuring Yoshitaka Mine, exploring Kamurocho and variety of side experiences while also sinking their teeth into Mine’s shoot-boxing combat to stylishly dispose of foes.

The Steam demo will be available later today (January 21st) at 3pm UK time (7am PT), while the demo will hit PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch at 5am tomorrow, on the 22nd  (9pm PT).

We just got a new trailer showing off Kiryu’s combat as well, which you can check out below.

It’ll have been around a year since the last Yakuza title was released, which was Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. We scored that one a 9.5 out of 10, saying: “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is an excellent return to the world that Infinite Wealth introduced. Playing as Goro Majima in his own adventure has been one of my favourites of the series. From the excellent combat with the two fleshed out fighting styles to the naval warfare and pirate life being lived to the fullest, fans are going to have such a good time with it. It never seems gimmicky, feeling like a genuine sequel to the story that came before. You’ll spend hours with it, enjoying everything it has to offer and then some.”

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on February 12, 2026
