Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Northplay have together confirmed a closed alpha for upcoming “hack ‘n’ strat” title Dinolords, is coming on October 31st.
If you want to get involved, you can head straight over to the Steam Page and “register your interest”, so you have a chance to play it before it comes to final fruition with a full release, and even before it goes into early access in 2026.
“We are thrilled to be giving our community a chance to get their first hands-on experience with the game”, said Michael Flarup, CEO of Northplay. “Dinolords is our chance to bring a unique blend of genres to players, and with the Closed Alpha Test, give them a taste of what to expect when the Early Access release launches next year. We are excited to hear what our player base thinks of the game and look forward to the feedback received to help shape Dinolords into the best possible title it can be.”
Mixing real-time strategy with action RPG gameplay, Dinolords brings the Jurassic era to the Middle Ages in a time warp of genres, where the discovery of ancient eggs has led to training Dinosaurs for battle. With the looming threat of war, players must tame these creatures and prepare them for real-time combat, leading them into conflict alongside an ever-growing army.
In the Dinolords Closed Alpha Test, players can take up a sword and ride their trusty dinosaur into battle, experiencing a taste of the game ahead of its Early Access release in 2026. A three-part tutorial immerses players into the world of Dinolords, easing them into a blend of strategy and action-packed combat. Once ready, they’ll charge into battle, tackling four distinct maps and two different game modes to test their “hack’n’strat” skills. Players can also try their hand at establishing their own military stronghold, utilising different systems, like base building, combat strategy, and unit control, to better prepare for action.
Dinolords is coming to early access in 2026.
