With Lunar New Year kicking off, Deep Rock Galactic has started a new event running until February 13th.
The publisher says: “It wouldn’t be a New Year celebration without a party, meaning the Space Rig will be coated with dazzling banners and lanterns, and of course, a shipment of firecrackers to use with caution. However, there’s still work to be done as a shipment of Golden Serpents has been lost across the planet, with a Double Performance Point Bonus for those who return it. Past hats from previous Lunar New Years are also up for grabs by completing the Last Year’s Blessings assignment.”
- There’s a snake in my loot! It wouldn’t be a Deep Rock Galactic party without a snazzy new piece of headwear to strut about the caves. In keeping with the Year of the Snake, dwarves can complete the Lunar Festival 2025 assignment and unlock The Serpentine Special hat, commemorating the New Year in all its scaly glory. If the sight of a snake is either too much or not enough, past Lunar Festival hats are also up for grabs as part of the Last Year’s Blessings assignment.
- Why did it have to be snakes? The useless fools at the transport department have gone and messed up again, as another Longbeard Freight shipment has gone down after a venomous snake attack onboard. As a result, crates of rare antique Golden Serpent statues have been lost throughout the mines, and Management is willing to reward dwarves who bring them back up from missions with a Double Performance Point Bonus.
- Hiss hiss, bang bang: For dwarves who want to do minimal work during the festivities, the Space Rig is being outfitted with banners, paper lanterns, and Space Persimmons to set the Lunar New Year off with style. A shipment of firecrackers has also been arranged, which are not to be used recklessly. Management is always watching…
Deep Rock Galactic is out now for PC and consoles.
