Developer CampFire Studio has announced a flurry of new information for its early access survival game, Soulmask, including a 1.0 release date and DLC launch details.
A new trailer has also been released, which shows off the “mysterious world of Soulmask”, says the developer, adding: “with a focus on spectacular combat, building mechanics and environments from the new Ancient Egypt-themed DLC.”
“Later in the trailer”, continues CampFire Studio, “players can see brand new customisable ships including the Tribe Sand Boat and Falcon-Class Airship, as well as powerful new boss encounters including the intimidating Soulcall Hound, Onyx Scarab and Savagehorn Tribe Leader”.
Onto the 1.0 date, then, and the team says: “Soulmask Version 1.0 and the Shifting Sands DLC are scheduled to launch in Spring 2026.”
Ahead of this release date, from December 4th and running through to January 5th, the game is 35% off if you want to grab it now in early access.
Soulmask is a survival sandbox game that delivers an authentic survival experience and attracted more than 750,000 early access players, winning very positive reviews.
As the “last one” blessed with the mysterious mask, players grapple for survival in a primitive land steeped in mysterious faiths, carving out a path to ascendance. Start from nothing, explore, build, recruit tribesmen to fortify your clan, and ultimately unravel the mysterious truths hidden behind the civilizations of this world.

The DLC (Shifting Sands) is explained as follows:
In addition to the new Horus Mask, the Shifting Sands DLC will also introduce new Anubis and Amun-Ra masks granting incredible new abilities.
In the Shifting Sands DLC, Soulmask ventures into a bold new direction where ancient Egyptian mythology intertwines with alien technology.
This expansion introduces brand-new god-themed masks and an all-new “live-on-your-ship” survival system, letting players sail, glide, and ascend across the scorching desert landscapes. Players will equip the masks of Horus, Anubis, Amun-Ra, and Sobek, unleashing godlike abilities that may redefine combat and exploration. Anti-gravity solar ships hint at a new survival meta: Craft and assemble modular ships to traverse deserts, rivers, and the skies, expanding possibilities far beyond traditional sandbox play.
Soulmask is out now on PC via Steam early access, and is hitting 1.0 in Spring 2026.
