Today, Square Enix announced that The Primals, the official band of Final Fantasy XIV Online, will perform at Download Festival at Donington Park in the UK on Friday 12th June 2026.
Announced alongside a slew of other bands performing at the festival, the announcement was made across official FFXIV social media channels, led with a short video message led by FFXIV Sound Director Masayoshi Soken.
Since forming, The Primals have headlined sold out shows across Japan, including Nippon Budokan and the Yokohama Arena, with lottery allocated tickets continuing to be in phenomenal demand, alongside appearances at dedicated Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival events across North America, Europe, South Korea, and China.
The appearance at Download Festival in 2026 marks the first time the band has performed a standalone concert outside of Asia or the much-anticipated Global Fan Festival events that take place around the world. Joining the history books alongside some of the most iconic artists from across the rock and metal world, The Primals will bring their trademark energy, musical variety and a show quite unlike anything before seen at the festival, it’s an event that is not to be missed!
