EA and Full Circle has revealed details on season 3 for skate., which will be kick-flipping off in under a week from March 10th.
There will be a new game mode, the return of Isle of Grom, a new season pass, the addition of loadouts, tattoos, and improvements to tricks.
Below we’ve got a new trailer showing off the updates coming on March 10th.
Check out the list below for the full highlights and details:
- Isle of Grom: The Isle of Grom returns and is bigger than ever! Inspired by Skate 2 and Skate 3, this expansion brings that classic spillway energy to life with tons of new terrain to explore, grind and shred, along with new tasks and challenges.
- Updated skate.Pass: Season 3 introduces a refreshed skate.Pass with 100+ tiers across the Standard and Premium tracks featuring decks, stickers, trucks, griptape, tattoos and more, and adding Thrasher, Vans and adidas to the skate.Pass, while also debuting skate.Premium Pass+ (which gives players a 4,000 Tix head start to fast-track unlocks).
- Speedlines Game Mode: Blaze through Technical and Time Trial challenges that test players’ speed skills in both San Van and the Isle of Grom.
- Loadouts: Swapping your look and setup gets easier with skater loadouts. All players start with three character loadouts to save full customization, style, deck and more with additional slots available to purchase in-game.
- Tattoos: Ink has finally hit San Van with tattoos for arms and legs that can be resized, repositioned and rotated to one’s desire. Tattoos can be earned or purchased via the skate.Pass, the rotating in-game shop and the new Tattoo Shop section.
- New & Improved Tricks: Dark Tricks arrive on day one, including Dark Catches, Dark Flips and Darkslides, while Boneless tricks receive improved responsiveness and behavior on both ground and transition.
Our own skateboarding fan Steve said of skate: “Sitting in a niche somewhere between the two minute score attack of the THPS games and the realism of attempting the same trick until you nail the perfect looking line of Session or Skater XL, skate delivers dopamine by the bucket load. It just feels so damn good cruising around, finding new spots to experiment with, tricking onto pretty much everything and everything in sight, before pushing off again, knowing full well that there’s even more just around the next corner.
Offering nigh-on infinite creative possibilities, with only your own imagination setting the limit, the return of skate just goes to show that it is indeed possible to teach dogs, as well as old school skaters, new tricks.”
skate. is out now in early access on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
