EA has announced that the next instalment of its popular racing sim, EA Sports F1 25, returns on May 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There’re plenty of new features coming to the game, giving players lots to look forward to.
Braking Point returns with a new chapter for Konnersport. This time around, they are battling for the championship. Unfortunately, a “dramatic event throws the team into chaos.” It will include multiple difficulty settings for different types of players. For those that pre-order the F1 25 Iconic Edition, access to post-launch gameplay inspired by the upcoming Apple Original Film F1 will be theirs. It features the APXGP team, and three days early access.
My Team will be receiving a significant overhaul. Players will be able to take control of their own F1 team. This includes new responsibilities before the race, then taking control of either of the team’s drivers. Gameplay is also getting an improvement thanks to the EGO engine. It increases authenticity of the circuits thanks to LIDAR technology; this means several tracks have a more realistic look through their surroundings being transformed.
“F1 25 delivers more ways for players to experience Formula 1 and race their way, from the drama of Braking Point to making headlines in the pursuit of World Championship glory,” said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. “This year, there are new opportunities for players to connect, collaborate, and compete than ever before. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”
Formula 1 will be celebrating 75 years in 2025, and with this comes a massive driver line-up change which includes Lewis Hamiliton moving from Mercedes to Ferrari. The 2025 season looks to be one of the most exciting in years, and EA hope to recreate all the thrills and drama of the real-life sport in-game.
