The second Phasmophobia quality of life update is live now bringing loads of cool things fans will likely be very happy about.
With autumn approaching and the darkness encroaching, it’s a perfect time for the second Phasmophobia quality of life update. The ghost hunting megahit has been bringing exciting new stuff for fans for a long time now, and these quality of life updates always fix plenty of bugs and add a whole host of new handy features.
The highlight of this particular update is the inclusion of the three new restricted maps, which are smaller versions of previously released maps that work better for smaller groups. I play Phasmophobia almost exclusively with my husband, and because of this there are a handful of larger maps we’ve just never bothered with. I’m really excited to check out locations like the school and prison finally, thanks to this incredibly cool idea.
“Highly requested by ghost hunters, Phasmophobia will now offer small–medium Restricted maps for Prison, Brownstone High School, and Point Hope. The areas are designed as a condensed version of iconic original maps, allowing for faster gameplay and increased variety in paranormal investigations.”
Alongside this substantial new content added to the game, there are also some new quality of life additions to how the journal works. Recording what ghost evidence you’ve gathered is now easier than ever, as when you take a photo of Ghost Writing or record a voice coming from the Spirit Box it’ll automatically mark it in your book. This even applies to allies, which is going to be so helpful.
On top of all this there are some smaller fixes and features included in the latest patch. VR players will have a better time with the game going forward, and there’s even some new horror now in the form of dead bodies of friends going grey and glazed over. It’s looking like a good day to be a Phasmophobia fan, and I reckon this’ll hold us over until the big horror update on the horizon.
