The team behind the lovely looking upcoming space-action-RPG Exodus, has launched a new tabletop RPG show on YouTube, called Star Heist.
It’s a creative way to show potential players of Exodus more of the world the team at developer Archetype Entertainment is trying to create. The series will feature Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director at Archetype Entertainment, James Ohlen, as the Dungeon Master “as a crew of Travelers takes on time-bending missions across the galaxy to save humanity”.
The rules of the game will be from the Exodus Traveler’s Handbook, which is “a TTRPG handbook created by Ohlen and the Archetype narrative team to further explore the deep EXODUS universe.” The team says that “Star Heist will continue in future instalments with special guests and new missions from the Travelers.”
“Star Heist is the ultimate fusion of my two creative passions – building the dark, futuristic game world of EXODUS while bringing it to life through an off-the-rails live-action TTRPG adventure,” said Ohlen. “I’ve been running tabletop campaigns for as long as I can remember, but getting to DM one set in the EXODUS universe – and inviting fans along for the ride – is an absolute dream. Throughout the series, we’ll unveil exciting elements from the game world, and I can’t wait for fans to explore the far reaches of this innovative Sci-Fi world with us.”
Recently the team released a short story called “Met by Moonlight: A Bond Across Time”, which has the synopsis: “Through space and time, and on the moon, no one understands the life of a Traveler like another Traveler. In your lowest and toughest moments, the greatest surprises can emerge and bind you in a way you wouldn’t imagine”
Exodus doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s set to come to PC, Xbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5. You can check out some gameplay for the title, here.
