LEVEL5 has announced that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will be released on June 5th (launch day) for Nintendo Switch 2.

As you’d expect, there will be a hefty graphical bump for the Switch 2 version, and you can see this in the image below.

Fantasy Life i Switch comparison

If you’ve already grabbed it on Switch it’ll only cost EUR 2.27 or 2.59 USD to upgrade to the new version. LEVEL5 does say: “When playing the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on a Nintendo Switch, features and performance will be in line with the Nintendo Switch version.”

This Switch 2 edition is an enhanced version and takes full advantage of the hardware’s capabilities, offering significant improvements such as drastically reduced load times, smoother scene transitions and quicker game launches for a seamless experience. The upgraded graphics and frame rate also make animations more fluid than before.

Elsewhere, the developer has given out a code gifting fans in-game items to celebrate 500,000 copies sold. It’s no surprise, either, as it’s great fun so far. Our review is on the way, too.

The team adds: “LEVEL5 is running a special celebration campaign where participants have a chance to win an exclusive illustration art board of Rem, the Princess of Mysteria, or a game code for a supported platform of their choice. To participate, follow the official Fantasy Life X account and repost the respective campaign post.”
