World of Tanks is back with its huge Holiday Ops event, and this time they’ve brought Sherlock Holmes himself, Benedict Cumberbatch.
Previous years have featured the likes of Jason Statham, Vinnie Jones, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger, so Benedict fits right in with that crowd as the latest ambassador. He will be fully voiced and animated in-game, and will star in Wargaming’s high production Christmas advert.
Holiday Ops 2026 kicks off on December 5, 2025, and continues through January 12, 2026. Players can apparently look forward to a “magical winter adventure”, with “special assignments given by Benedict and exclusive celebrity-themed rewards.”
World of Tanks is available now on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
