Publisher Wargaming has announced a beta test for upcoming shooter Steel Hunters, along with other content updates as part of a Publisher Weekend.
Taking place from today (February 20th) and running until the 24th of February, there are various updates bringing free packs and all sorts, but the key standout is that you can get to play the upcoming free-to-play mech hero shooter ahead of its release, for a good four days.
The publisher says: “The Clutch Performance event will run alongside the playtest, offering exciting rewards. The top 10 players on the daily leaderboard will win Steam gift cards and exclusive physical merchandise, while all players will have the opportunity to compete for a unique permanent Trenchwalker skin.” Check out the Steam page for Steel Hunters now, and you can get involved.
Moving on, lots of other games from Wargaming are getting content drops and the like for Steam players, offering “4-in-1 bundle”, offering gear for the World of Warships, World of Tanks Blitz, World of Warplanes, and World of Tanks. Here’s all the info:
World of Tanks players can claim the free “White Hot Pack”, which includes one day of WoT Premium Account, x3 tokens for x5 XP missions, x3 projection decals “Wild HEAT”, and x3 inscriptions “Fire Fire Baby”. World of Warships commanders can grab a free DLC featuring a 7-day rental of the Premium Japanese Tier VI Battleship Mutsu, complete with a port slot and a skilled captain. Additionally, three current DLCs are available at an 80% discount. The “Firepower&Fury Package” – a combined World of Warships World of Tanks Blitz offer – brings the Premium Pan-Asian Tier VI Anshan Destroyer, Premium German Tier VI Pz.Kpfw. IV Schmalturm Medium Tank and more at an 80% discount.
World of Tanks Blitz players can get a free “Smart Progress Pack” with useful content and discounts of up to 89% on multiple current DLCs. The “British Duo Bundle” – a combined World of Tanks Blitz and World of Tanks offer – will add the Premium U.K. Tier VI Churchill Mk. VI Heavy Tank and the Premium U.K. Tier VI Cromwell B Medium Tank to players’ collection at an 90% discount.
World of Warplanes players can claim a brand-new Grumman XF4F-3 DLC for free and enjoy discounts on iconic aircraft such as the Gloster Meteor, the first operational jet fighter for the Allies, and the Bell P-39N-1 Airacobra sporting a unique tribal panoply of war, as part of shared bundles.
Lastly, some of the publisher’s older titles (Master of Orion Trilogy, Total Annihilation, and more) will be discounted at up to 85% off.
