World of Warships: Legends and World of Warships Blitz is getting plenty of new content this summer, including a second wave of Star Trek content and new game modes. Developers Wargaming are celebrating July 4 in style, with plenty of in-game festivities.
To coincide with American Independence Day, World of Warships: Legends will be getting “Forward for Freedom,” a brand new campaign, starting June 30. The campaign will span five weeks and 120 milestones, offering the U.S. Tier VIII Premium battleship Wisconsin as its prize. There’s also a special currency called Independium which can be used to unlock in-game items. Tier VI Premium battleship West Virginia ’44 will also be found in the Steel and Stars random bundle. Finally, the Louisiana will be available to those who complete the research project.

Star Trek returns to World of Warships: Legends. With it comes the Tier VIII U.S.S Voyager and a new Borg Queen’s Diamond skin for Yamoto. Four more iconic characters will be coming as Commanders as well: Riker, Janeway, Worf, and the Borg Queen. Players can access the Replicator Crate II which play home to the content through the ‘Forward for Freedom’ and ‘To the Delta and Back’ missions. Riker will be available through the new number One Calendar and in-store.
As for World of Warships Blitz, a new line of French Destroyers have anchored in Early Access. Players on mobile can take three new ships built for stealth and speed into combat: Tier V L’Adroit, Tier VII Hardi and Tier IX Orage. They come equipped with new variable torpedoes that do damage at up to 6km distance, and up to 60% damage from 12km distance. ‘Turbo Strike,’ a new fast-paced game mode is also coming. It puts a spin on the classic domination gameplay. It features unique ship enhancements, powerups, and unlimited respawns.
