Here’s the details from the latest press release:
The Train Sim World franchise returns to Manchester with the release of the latest route Add-on in Train Sim World 5. Manchester Airport Commuter takes players once again out of Manchester Piccadilly Station in the Northern Class 323, but this time heads south to the leafy suburbs of Alderley Edge via the dedicated station for Manchester Airport.
This route Add-on is the debut Train Sim World release by Alan Thomson Simulation, who’ve previously made their name in the train simulation community with a back catalogue of releases for Train Simulator Classic. Their 27-mile Manchester route for Train Sim World 5 features unique details and features to the environment and station scenery, along with an expansive timetable featuring service layers from other UK TSW Add-ons, for players who own them.
The route gives players the choice of two service paths to Alderley Edge: one via Stockport and the other via Styal and Manchester Airport, which features licensed Airbus aircraft flying overhead. Included in the Add-on is the easy-to-operate Class 323 in Northern branding as well as the Class 66 freight locomotive.
The publisher Dovetail Games added: “UK rail fans have a host of other releases to look forward to in the coming months, with the retro Class 86 locomotive and Nuclear waste cargo trains being released as Add-ons soon, courtesy of developers Just Trains and Skyhook Games respectively.”
Train Sim World 5 is out now for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, and PC.
