Remedy has announced that CONTROL Resonant will have support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and path tracing when it launches later this year.

While there’s no firm release date yet, things have been ramping up for CONTROL Resonant with a recent trailer, and this new announcement of the DLSS support. “The world of CONTROL Resonant is packed with rich detail, and path-traced lighting takes it to the next level,” said Tatu Aalto, Technical Director of Graphics at Remedy Entertainment. “With DLSS 4.5 and Ray Reconstruction, players get outstanding image quality and stability along with performance that lets them fully enjoy the experience.”

Remedy says: “To this day, Control remains a graphical showcase, with immersive ray-traced effects enhancing every aspect of the experience. CONTROL Resonant takes image quality and immersion to the next level with path-traced effects and RTX Mega Geometry, enhanced by DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and accelerated by DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.”

In the sequel to the multi-award-winning Control, players explore expansive zones of a ravaged Manhattan overrun by the Hiss, the Mold, and other paranatural threats that have spilled beyond the confines of the Oldest House.

Players take control of Dylan Faden, brother of FBC Director Jesse Faden, as he confronts a cosmic force rewriting the laws of reality. As Dylan unlocks the full potential of his evolving supernatural abilities, players will traverse perception-bending environments, manipulate gravity-defying spaces, and engage in fast-paced combat using telekinetic powers and his shapeshifting melee weapon, the Aberrant.

As a massive fan of Control (and Remedy in general), the sequel to CONTROL can’t come soon enough.

CONTROL Resonant is coming top PC, Xbox, and PS5 later this year.
