Ghost Ship Publishing have dropped a load of new information about upcoming content for Deep Rock Galactic, while confirming Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is coming next year.
We recently had a chance to spend some time at a press briefing with Andreas Bech (Invisible Walls), Mikhail (Mike) Akopyan (Ghost Ship Games), and Mikkel Martin Pedersen (Ghost Ship Games), where they revealed all of this new info, and confirmed that Invisible Walls (a Danish Developer that the team at Ghost Ship knows well) will be handling Season 6 of the original Deep Rock Galactic, which is set to launch early 2026.
The new content for both games that was revealed looks like loads of fun, and it’s interesting to see Rogue Core evolving, moving into a more fantastical zone with new powers and abilities.
“We’ve worked closely with our friends at Invisible Walls to help shape Season 6 into the best possible experience for our community”, said Mikkel Martin Pedersen, Game Director at Ghost Ship Games. “After six months of working together and exploring different concepts for DRG expansions, we’re confident in the team’s vision for the upcoming season, while we work hard on the future of the Deep Rock Galactic franchise and Rogue Core.”
Deep Rock Galactic: Season 6

Season 6, then, will be called “Relics of Hoxxes”, and introduces new challenges, game types (Heavy Extraction), new enemies, and a seasonal event.
This newly discovered biome finds players exploring the resting place of innumerable creatures, undisturbed for centuries, and filled with bones collected by a new type of creature–Ossirans. Amongst this recently discovered genus are three new enemies, including the Ossiran Scrab, a smaller scavenger that makes up for its size in numbers, and its larger, deadlier, and stealthier cousin, the Ossiran Pit Jaw.
Season 6 is joined by a new mission type known as “Heavy Extraction”. Players will have to unearth large pieces of delicate amber by hand before carefully fixing them to booster rockets for orbital extraction. A new seasonal event also arrives in the form of “Ossium Raid”, pitting players against Ossiran Bone Collectors, an insect-like prospector that hoards crystalised Ossium and skeletal remains. These creatures flee when spotted, and players will need to track them down to their nests to uncover a substantial stash of Ossium and get out alive.
Season 6: Relics of Hoxxes will also see the return of a new, totally free Performance Pass packed with unlockable rewards, alongside a new pickaxe set, DLC armor, and much more to be announced in the coming months.
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core

If you weren’t aware, Rogue Core is a roguelike game set in the Deep Rock Galactic universe. There are alpha tests going on, but while the title was originally planned for early access this year, it’s now coming in “Q2 2026”, still with an early access launch in mind.
“Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is an exciting new evolution for the series, as we bring our co-op gameplay model into the roguelike genre”, said Mikkel Martin Pedersen, Game Director at Ghost Ship Games. “We originally planned to launch the game in late 2025; however, we realised that the game needs a few more months to be the best it can be. Until then, we’re excited to bring Season 6 of Deep Rock Galactic to fans and hope this scratches their itch until Rogue Core launches next year.”
Blending Deep Rock Galactic’s hallmark co-op experience with a core roguelike gameplay loop, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core offers an entirely new challenge to players as they take on the role of Hoxxes IV’s elite security force, The Reclaimers. Banding together to dive deep into Hoxxes IV, Reclaimers will begin each run with basic equipment and must fight their way through the cavernous landscapes for upgrades, gear, and abilities to better their odds of survival and complete their mission below the surface.

If you’re desperate for new DRG content, though, you could do worse than playing Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, which hit PC and Xbox (Game Pass) this year, and has just been released on mobile devices as well.
Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 is coming in early 2026, with Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core coming in Q2 2026.
