TRAILER:
Providing an immersive experience through an open world ripe with seamless landscapes and stunning vistas, players will journey through diverse locales varying from darek caves, and bustling cities, to peaceful stretches of countryside, all full of historical and cultural richness. This final test will introduce an all-new urban region, Kaifeng, in addition to the areas introduced in the penultimate test.
Each area offers its own unique story to discover – from the Fanlou Golden Street to grimy slums, from stately palaces to the dark, enigmatic ghost market. Whether through the main quest or exploring slightly off-trail, the narrative is fully integrated into its expansive world.
And the narrative itself is deep, introducing figures from history and myth, and presenting intense battles through which you’ll settle old rivalries and weave heroic legends. The protagonist is fully customisable, and can master a unique combat system inspired by Wuxia martial arts, along with a vast range of weaponry.
Players can even interact with NPCs, whether they choose to be a lawless pickpocket or become a trustworthy friend, which can lead players towards an entirely different ending. From exploring the streets and engaging in classic Chinese pastimes like the opera or the bathhouse, to making weighty decisions, player actions can even shift and change the city.
Where Winds Meet is dedicated to creating an immersive, open-world Wuxia experience and players will be able to experience exactly that in Kaifeng, the game’s additional region, in the final test set to be released by Everstone Studio on July 25th.
