Sega and Sports Interactive has announced Football Manager 26, and with it, a new teaser trailer hinting at the new matchday experience.
After not putting out a game in the yearly series, it seems the updated matchday experience so many fans have been waiting for might well be coming. The new teaser features beloved commentator Peter Drury dropping phrases like “The wait has been long” and “The build-up impossible to ignore”, before adding “So much has changed, but that feeling? It never left”. All of this happens while showing clips of a very Premier League focussed visual background, though the trailer also says “Not all footage appears in game”.
Regardless, if any of this is from in-game at all, it’s a massively updated looking matchday experience. Check out the trailer below.
The wording used in the trailer suggests developer Sports Interactive is well aware of how angry some fans have been, and how much the new game is wanted by the audience.
Sega says:
Sports Interactive is proud to unveil the next release in its unrivalled football management simulation series will be Football Manager 26.
FM26 promises to take players on a journey to define their footballing destiny with our most immersive and visually rich Football Manager experience yet. The potential for storytelling is redefined by taking players closer to the heart of the beautiful game.
An early snippet of the elevated Match Day experience through the lens of the official Premier League license gives just a taster of what to expect following the move to the Unity engine.
There are going to be more updates “soon”, so Sports Interactive and Sega says to stay tuned.
Football Manager 26 is coming to PC.
