Fox Hunt now live in Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater

Sneaky sneaky

Konami has launched the new Fox Hunt mode for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater

This is a brand-new online multiplayer mode where players must survive in the jungle, while utilising the stealth and survival elements synonymous you know and love from the single player game.

As an aspiring member of the covert unit ‘FOX’, players must endure survival-style missions and procure weapons and equipment in the field against other operatives. Up to 12 players can dive into the iconic tactical espionage action with two different game modes.

Survival Capture:

The iconic Kerotan frogs continue their elusiveness in this tense game mode. Find and secure more hidden frogs to guarantee victory. As the match progresses, their numbers will dwindle and lead to intense clashes against enemy operatives.

Survival Intrude:

A covert assignment where operatives must utilise stealth and survival elements in designated zones to progress through multiple phases. As time advances, dedicated zones reduce ensuring stealth and positioning is vital to victory.

Each player is equipped with an “AT-CAMO” suit to help employ advanced stealth tactics. This suit allows them to instantly alter their camouflage patterns to suit the terrain. Operatives are also given “Naked Sense” to help detect enemies and items.

I’ve not played the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake yet, despite the original being one of my favourite games of all time, but I’ve got fond memories of the multiplayer mode added to Subsistence so I’m looking forward to eventually trying this too. I wonder if Sokolov is still OP…
