A big content up date has just dropped for both PC/Switch players and Apple Arcade players of Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
It’s slightly confusing, because the two updates are different, so let’s start with the time-limited event. On Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), and Apple Arcade, the “Springtime Celebration” is back (or new if you’re on PC or Switch). The developer explains: “Until April 7th, players can join Hello Kitty and Friends to collect petals all around the island and exchange them for new outfits and decor. Be sure to also check out Tuxedosam’s Shop and My Melody’s Gift Shop for rare springtime clothing and furniture finds!”
However, there’s also a big new update which has dropped for Apple Arcade users, with the Switch and Steam versions getting it “soon”. This update is called “Snow & Sound – Update 2.4”, and is detailed by the developer as follows:
“Are those houses at the top of Icy Peak? Repair Snow Village to construct some cozy cabins and discover new fish, critters, and furniture. Plus, City Town is booming—help open a new music store and embark on quests with Usahana and her Visitors to add even more light and color to the vibrant city. Advance your friendship with Usahana and more.
Plus, new friends are coming! Decorate cabins for a chance to meet Ganta, Kyorosuke, Noberun, and Washimi.”
In our review, we said: “Hello Kitty Island Adventure is one of the most surprisingly fun games I’ve played in a very long time. With cosy vibes, loads to do and a massive island to explore, I was always excited to jump back into the island and hang out with my animal buddies. You can pretend all you want that you’re too cool for Hello Kitty, but after an hour with this delightful game I’m sure you’ll keep coming back.”
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is out now for PC, Switch, and iOS devices via Apple Arcade.
