NetEase Games has announced the new new mode for hero shooter Marvel Rivals, and it’s called “Giant-Size Brain Blast Mode”. On top of that the team has also released volume one of the Art Vision Online video series.
Let’s start with the new mode, though, with the official description as follows:
Giant-Size Brain Blast is a new limited-time game mode where up to 12 players can compete in matches to earn a Brain Blast emote and epic title rewards. Complete 10 matches in Brain Blast mode to earn a Brain Blast emote. Additionally, at the end of each round of the event, title rewards will be distributed to the top 500, top 100, and top 10 players for each hero on the final leaderboard. The first round of Giant-Size Brain Blast begins on April 25, with round 2 kicking off on May 2.
Here’s the schedule for the mode:
- First Round: 4/25/25 5:00 PM-4/28/25 8:00 AM UTC+08:00
- Second Round: 5/2/25 5:00 PM-5/5/25 8:00 AM UTC+08:00
Regarding the new “Art Vision” series, NetEase said:
In a new online video series, Art Vision, the visual team dives into their inspirations and foundations for designing the world of Marvel Rivals. In the first-ever Art Vision Vol. 01 – The Genesis of Style, go behind the scenes with Art Director, Dino Ma, and other talented design experts to get the inside scoop on the processes for creating the interface design, artistic styles, animations, and so much more.
You can keep up to date with the patch notes for the game here, as the team is regularly balancing and adjusting the title. For example, on April 17th, the team adjusted Wolverine: “Wolverine’s Claw-some Comeback: Fixed an issue where Wolverine’s Ultimate Ability landing sometimes wouldn’t finish properly in poor network conditions. Now, the best there is at what he does can unleash his fury without any hiccups!”, and there’s a lot more fixes, too.
Marvel Rivals is out now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
