PowerA has announced a new controller that is in celebration of Mario Day 2025, with a new Boo-themed Mario & Luigi Switch pad design.
The new officially licensed controller from PowerA features “scary-good Lumectra Ghost RGB LED lighting, revealing hidden Super Mario artwork in five unique lighting modes”. The manufacturer says: “This includes a nostalgic “spotlight mode” that makes you feel like you’re in the game. Inherent to PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controllers, it offers wireless gameplay, immersive motion controls, and advanced customization options.”

The official page says that it “can be used when Nintendo Switch is docked or undocked. Does not support HD rumble, IR or Amiibo NFC”, which although a shame, is fairly standard for most third-party controllers now.
PowerA do quite a large selection of Super Mario-themed goodies, including Joy-Con grips, other themed controllers, a Slim Case for the Nintendo OLED Switch model, and even a GameCube style wired controller.
