Sega has released the fourth soundtrack video for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds showing off some new DJ mixes for a variety of courses.
This new trailer comes right as the open network test kicks off, running today (Friday, August 29th) until Monday, September 1st. If you aren’t aware, that means you can go to your PC, PlayStation, Switch, or Xbox right now and download the free open test of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and get an early play of the online to see what it’s all about. However, it’s only on current gen, so those of you on PS4 or Xbox One will have to wait for release to get to play it.
Sega says this new OST video highlights “new DJ mixes for a variety of courses and CrossWorlds including White Cave, Sand Road, Holoska, Hidden World, and Kronos Island. Created by Kanon Oguni with remixes by Laur, RIOT, ZARDONIC, Aiobahn, Tomoya Ohtani, and Camellia, each mix showcases how each of the courses and CrossWorlds have their own unique feel and sound, allowing players to immerse themselves while racing!”
Physical and digital pre-orders for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch- OLED Model, and Nintendo Switch Lite are available now starting at at £54.99 GBP. The Nintendo Switch 2 system version will be available for pre-order at a later date starting at £64.99 GBP for the Standard Edition and £79.99 GBP for the Digital Deluxe Edition. There will be an upgrade path available for owners of Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch- OLED Model, and Nintendo Switch Lite, with content and progress able to carry over through the upgrade. The Nintendo Switch 2 system version will launch digitally this holiday 2025 and physically early 2026.
If you’ve never played a Sonic Racing title before, it’s well worth trying via the open network test. While many just love games like Mario Kart, Sonic Racing is usually a hell of a good time, with the last title being absolutely excellent.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on September 25th. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition will be coming later this year (and in 2026 for a physical version).
