Announced during the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Sega has confirmed a Nick-based collaboration is happening for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds.
As you’d expect, there’s some ace characters coming to Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, thanks to this announcement. SEGA released a new trailer showcasing characters from the SpongeBob SquarePants universe racing alongside Sonic and friends. The publisher says; “Fans also got a glimpse of the new SpongeBob SquarePants themed vehicle and track, as well as a tease of future Nickelodeon themed content from the Avatar universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Sega says: “By purchasing the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition, fans can experience the Season Pass, which includes the Nickelodeon content as well as the recently announced Minecraft characters, vehicles, and tracks, characters from the hit Netflix series, Sonic Prime, and two more yet-to-be-announced collaborations. Players can look forward to more details surrounding the Season Pass and Nickelodeon content soon!”
While the Nintendo Switch 2 has recently been released, and fans are enjoying Mario Kart World, it looks like Sonic Racing: Crossworlds will be some serious competition, and the previous game in the series was excellent as well.
