After a very positive early access period, survival game Soulmask has finally revealed the launch date, and it’s soon. Very soon in fact, as it’s April 10th.
Publisher Qooland Games and developer CampFire Studio has confirmed that over 800,000 people have played the game during its early access phase, and to celebrate this launch announcement, the expansion “Shifting Sands” will be free to claim from April 10th to May 10th as a thank you. It’s also going to keep the same price on both Epic Games Store and Steam, at £29.99 / £26.99, which is a nice change given how often a game leaves early access and then goes up in price a bit.

Shifting Sands expands Soulmask with a new realm inspired by ancient Egypt,nearly doubling the size of the game world and offering an entirely new environment to explore, build, and conquer. Players will journey across vast deserts, river deltas, ancient ruins, and monumental pyramids, facing powerful Egyptian gods such as Sobek and Anubis in high-stakes battles.
What makes this DLC especially distinctive is its bold new ship-based gameplay. Instead of traditional fixed bases, players can now build and customize self-made ships that serve as mobile homes, fully equipped battle platforms, and even flying fortresses later in the game. Starting from simple reed-and-wood boats, these vessels can be gradually upgraded with modular components, crew systems, and cannons, allowing players to sail, fight, and eventually take to the skies while bringing their tribe and resources with them.
The expansion also introduces four Egyptian god–themed masks, each granting unique abilities and combat styles, alongside new character creation options inspired by Egyptian aesthetics. Players can jump directly into the new region with a fresh character, and the DLC is designed to support a wide range of playstyles through solo, co-op, and server-based modes. Combined with the new ship mechanics, expanded building options, and richly themed content, Shifting Sands adds a major new layer of freedom, progression, and adventure to Soulmask.
Soulmask is coming to PC and leaving early access on April 10th.
