Today, Dovetail Games has announced that Train Sim World 6 is expanding into brand-new territory with the release of the Liberec – Stará-Paka Add-on, the franchise’s first ever Czech route, and the debut Train Sim World project from Vector Simulations.
Representing the northwestern half of a single-track railway linking the regional capital of Liberec with the Eastern Bohemian conurbation of Hradec Králové and Pardubice, the 75km route delivers a scenic yet demanding run through Northern Czechia. Across 11 stations and 9 stops, services climb and descend between 250-300 metres, passing through 8 tunnels and crossing more than 80 bridges as the line cuts through the Jizera Mountains.
For the first time in the series, authentic Czech signalling and safety systems are fully implemented, introducing new operational rules to master on a tightly scheduled single-track railway.
Operations bring strong variety. The Class 843 diesel railcar, introduced in 1995 for rural services across Czechia, powers passenger operations through the Jizera Mountains, running solo or often paired with Class 043 (Btn) coaches to form longer trains. It appears in two headlight variants and blue & white or red & cream liveries. Freight is handled by the Class 750, known as “Goggles” for its distinctive cyclops-like cab windscreen, available in five liveries and offering a fully classic hands-on experience. The most involved duties come via Mn (Manipulační vlak/Manipulation) trains, which see players collect and drop off wagons along the line, combining mainline running with detailed wagon collection, drop-offs and shunting.
In total, the route includes 59 services for the Class 843 and 44 for the Class 750, alongside nine bespoke scenarios. Free Roam and Livery Designer further expand possibilities, allowing players to recreate their own inspired European journeys, or take a more creative approach to their routes in Northern Czechia.
