2K has today announced that WWE 2K25 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The popular franchise sees its newest entry release a week early via The Bloodline Edition and the Deadman Edition. Owners of the Standard Edition will be able to play from March 14.
WWE 2K25 features a brand new mode known as The Island. It allows players to go online and experience a location filled with plenty to do while fighting the best there is. 2K Showcase focuses on The Bloodline’ Dynasty, featuring iconic matches from members of the Maivia, Anoa’I, and Fatu families. There’re also tons of new gameplay features, and various additions to all the favourite modes.
“Our team welcomes the challenge of bringing the WWE 2K franchise to new heights each and every year,” said Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts. “We are especially proud to offer our best gameplay and graphics to date in WWE 2K25, as well as all-new match type, mode, and storyline experiences that we’re confident players will love.”
WWE 2K25 is an incredible game, offering fan service and so much to do across all of its modes. Its presentation is stunning, with arenas and Superstars all looking amazing. A lot of the new features are down to preference such as intergender wrestling or the third-person camera, yet you don’t have to use them. Gameplay is superb this year, with little tweaks making a pleasant difference. The Island shows plenty of promise, and while modes like MyFACTION don’t feel massively different, there’s plenty of new stuff in WWE 2K25 to make players dive in.
While WWE 2K25 is available now, a host of new Superstars were recently announced via five upcoming DLC character packs. Penta, The Motor City Machine Guns, Guilia, Stephanie Vaquer, and Jordyne Grace add to the current roster. As for WWE legends, the New Age Outlaws, Mark Henry, and Jesse Ventura are just some of the upcoming additions.
