2K has revealed what players can expect in the WWE 2K26 MyRISE mode. In the latest Ringside Report, the new story for the mode is detailed, focusing on a character known as ‘The Archetype who suffers a fall from grace early in their career. To accompany the news, a video was released, featuring ‘The Oracle’ himself, Paul Heyman.
Leaning in heavily to the current landscape of the WWE, MyRISE sees you challenging two of the very best talents to make a name for themselves in the company over the last few years. After two years away, your character can choose the men or women’s division to challenge either Bron Breakker or Jordynne Grace. Unfortunately, things don’t go well and you suffer a horrendous defeat to either one of Paul Heyman’s World Champions.
Choosing how to recover and get back in the game is down to you. Do you keep grinding and put in the work with honour, or do you turn your back on the WWE Universe, “embracing deception to reclaim championship glory?” The story spans various milestones of a WWE career, including a return to the Performance Center, an opportunity in NXT presented to you by Adam Pearce, and a big WrestleMania showdown. Whatever happens, there will be plenty of moments to define The Archetype’s legacy, with plenty of potential rivalries.
Whatever path players choose, there’re various rewards to unlock. Some of them sound awesome, too. For example, an indie-era CM Punk, “Burnt” Fiend, and other iconic gear from previous WWE titles to name a few. By playing the mode, players can expand their roster while taking part in a high stakes story that takes them to a multitude of different places. There’s cinematic storytelling, in-game cutscenes, and the valuable guidance of the greatest visionary of all time, Paul Heyman.
