Brazilian indie studio Hermit Crab has announced a partnership with publisher Ubisoft for Sportia, a brand new multi-sport arcade game.
Matheus Vivian, Hermit Crab CEO explains: “This partnership marks a new chapter for Hermit Crab. After ten years working with iconic sports brands, we’re thrilled to collaborate with a global gaming powerhouse to create our most ambitious game to date”.
The team says that: “Sportia offers players a wide variety of characters with different skill levels and shapes, allowing them to play in a wide range of sports. The goal here is to build your team based on the sport and compete against others.”
Sportia is an utopian land, lost somewhere in space and time, where beings from all worlds, universes, and legends come together to celebrate sport. Mythical creatures, aliens, weekend athletes, robots, and kids from the neighborhood all gather to play, compete, and have fun.
Sportia is being built with the community at its core, reflecting a shared vision between developers and fans. The game will offer a seamless blend of sports gameplay, empowering players to explore different disciplines and harness the strengths of a diverse cast of characters.

Sportia is coming to PC via Steam. It’s also coming to consoles.
