As part of Gamescom Opening Night Love, we got a brand new Final Fantasy VII Revelation trailer featuring the iconic Weapons. These bosses struck fear into the kids of the playground when I was but a young lad, and their appearance in the final part of the remake trilogy is ridiculously exciting. Cloud and the gang have a whole lot to deal with in the next entry, and Sephiroth is just the tip of the iceberg.
On top of showing off the bosses that’ll undoubtedly beat us all up, the trailer also revealed Typhon – a new summon coming to Revelation. The FITS system was brought back for another showing too, with new outfits revealed for Cloud and Tifa. Fresh off a playthrough of Final Fantasy X-2 I’m ready for some classic Final Fantasy jobs and outfit changes, and can’t wait to switch up my favourite party members with new skills and attire.
I can’t believe that we’re so close to the ultimate chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, and there are few games that have me as excited as this coming next year. I can’t wait to explore the world atop the Highwind and drop down to the ground to fight some Cactuar, and we don’t have to hold out much longer.
