Undead Citadel

The critically acclaimed VR title, Undead Citadel, is shambling its way towards the launch of its physical PSVR2 boxed edition on August 22nd as announced by developers and publisher, Dark Curry S.L and Perp Games.

This physics-based combat title drops players into an immersive horde-filled medieval environment where every hack ‘n slash of the undead army brings you closer to the depths of the mysterious Citadel. Currently available on PCVR, Meta Quest and PSVR2, players aim to destabilise enemies and land powerful, bone-shattering blows that leave nothing but trails of putrefied remains in their wake.

Players will arm themselves with an extensive arsenal of over sixty weapons, including swords, axes, war hammers, maces and shields, each equipped with their own unique but equally destructive characteristics. The players who prefer to keep monsters at a safer distance can choose to wield bows, arrows and explosives for ranged attacks. For devastating effect against the living dead, players can make strategic use of slow-motion, strength and freeze potions to enhance their combat prowess and increase their chances of survival.

Undead Citadel offers two modes that players have access to: Horde Mode and Story Mode. Story Mode takes players through ten diverse levels while donning chainmail and slicing their way ruthlessly through, delving into the origins of a mysterious plague. The Citadel’s interiors and exteriors are intricate and players will have to fight hard to get through, uncovering hidden items and solving challenging puzzles to progress their way through the story.

If you’re after a break from the intensive challenges of Story Mode, give Horde Mode a try! Horde Mode pits you against unrelenting enemy waves, encouraging you to survive as long as possible and rapidly climb up the leaderboards. Undead Citadel additionally provides The Armoury, serving as your personal playpen, allowing you to collect, practice and experiment with all of the weapons you have acquired throughout your blood-soaked encounters.

The boxed edition of the Undead Citadel will be available from selected retailers from August 22nd, developed and published by Dark Curry S.L and Perp Games.
