Stellar Blade soundtrack coming to vinyl thanks to Laced Records

Vinyl, Switch 2 port, and a new game. What a week.

The big announcement that Stellar Blade is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this year wasn’t the only big thing from developer Shift Up. You’re up on all things SGF, so you probably know that Stellar Blade 2 is also coming. But no, that’s not it, there’s still more.

Laced Records has announced a 4LP, 44-track vinyl box-set for the game’s soundtrack is coming, as well as a double LP with 22 tracks.

Sleeve artwork is from the dev itself, “with the box set inner sleeves depicting characters Eve, Lily Artemis II, Tachy, and Raven, while the slipcase boasts a stunning sci-fi character parade”, says Laced Records, adding: “The double LP is differentiated with a sleeve boldly focused on protagonist Eve, and inner sleeves featuring Eve and Raven.”

The tracklist has been “thoughtfully curated by the Stellar Blade sound team to represent Eve’s journey across the game while ensuring the inclusion of fan-favourites such as “Flooded Commercial Sector”, “Everglow”, and “Raven”. All tracks have been specially remastered for vinyl.”

Stellar Blade’s soundtrack comprises vocal-led electronic, K-Pop, rock & metal songs; as well as improvisational jazz and delicate acoustic styles. Taken as a whole, the game’s music calls forth a vision of a doomed yet hopeful sci-fi future overseen by Sound Director Jooeun Hwang and guided by the tastes of Game Director Hyungtae Kim.

Jooeun Hwang, Sound Director on Stellar Blade, says: “For the music of Stellar Blade, our priority was to preserve and highlight the unique identity of each individual composer and artist, while ensuring that those individual voices were ultimately used to express Stellar Blade itself. Thank you for playing and for listening to our music. We sincerely appreciate your support.”

So yeah, it seems fans of Eve, and Stellar Blade in general are having a lovely time right now. Here’s hoping that Switch 2 port looks as good as it did in the trailer, too.
