The previous day we got a full look at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but there’s even more in this Nintendo Direct. Without further ado, here’s what appeared in the order it was shown, and if you want to watch the entire showcase again, you can at this link.

That’s not all, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion is out now, for Switch 2.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition

Switch 2 is getting a 60fps version of the game many loved. A musou Zelda. All the expansion pack content is coming, along with a Calamity Mode (Harder mode) as well. Switch 1 owners will get a discount for the Switch 2 edition, and they can transfer their saves over. Coming February 25th, 2027.

Meccha Chameleon

Fancy hiding in plain site? This is one for you. This game style is all the rage and now one of the biggest is coming to Switch 2. This is out today.

Pokopia

Of course, there’s some expansion pass details for Pokopia. You can equip accessories to make your Ditto look more personalised. There are bow ties and more.  The second part (of three) is coming this year.

Star Fox

Star Fox is getting a free update adding four-player split screen, as well as three new battle mode stages. This update is coming on September 30th. On top of that… Star Fox Adventures is coming to the Nintendo Classics program within Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, and that one is out today.

Montage Number One

We got a look at The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered (which will have mouse and motion controls, touch screen controls) coming on September 29th.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is also coming to Switch 2 in 2027.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is nearly out, and we got a new trailer for that as well. Reminder, it’s coming on September 17th.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam was coming in 2027, believe it or not. A quick trailer showed us how adorable that is, and confirmed the release date is actually now December 10th. Blimey!

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain is in development, but that’s all we go on that one.

Pikmin 4 for Switch 2

One of the loveliest, slept on titles, Pikmin 4 is coming to Switch 2. You can give voice commands in this version to Oatchie, and praise them for doing a good job. Dandori Academy is a new mode offering challenges. These challenges will be given out by Nintendo weekly, and you’ll only get the chance on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You can compare your scores against friends and others online. There are plans for 72 stages over time, says Nintendo.

November 12th, 2026 this one is hitting, and it’s called Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy.

Montage Number Two

The next roundup section started with Onyx: The Dark Grip (from Bloober Team). It’s a lovely looking adventure game, which features touch-screen support for Switch 2.  This is coming in 2027 and is exclusive to Switch 2.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is “on the way”. It’ll feature a new mode: Heroes Vault, which looks like an endless, almost dungeon-crawler mode. Not enough? Good, because Shimmer is a new hero added to the game for this version. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is coming on December 3rd.

Stage Fright was next, from the makers of Overcooked. A fun looking game that reminded me of Luigi’s Mansion, this is coming in 2027 and is also coming to the original Switch.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea is the next expansion for the popular title. Not much to say about this one, because if you’re a fan, you’re a fan and you already love it. It’s coming in November 2026.

Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale was the next game shown. Another colourful title, it’s coming in 2027.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight might feel overdue to some on Switch 2, but a trailer during this Nintendo Direct confirmed it’s coming on September 18th.

Kirby Air Riders was shown next, offering up some new Amiibo figures on November 12th.

Cairn is coming to Switch 2 thanks to the developer, The Game Bakers. I never got around to playing this when it first came out, so maybe this is another chance. It’s being released in “early 2027”, with a demo out today.

Resident Evil Remakes

Yep, it’s finally happened. Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Remake are all coming to Nintendo Switch 2. All of them will include the DLC, thanks to the Gold and Deluxe Editions. All three are coming in October digitally, with January 2027 releases for physical editions.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

Given how stunning this looked at the initial reveal, maybe it’s a surprise to hear it’s coming to Switch 2. But it seems devs are getting games looking damn good on that console already. Legacy of Atlantis is coming on February 12th, 2027 – the same date as the other versions.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort

A reminder, this one, that 12 sports are included in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, which is coming on October th. There’s an offline mode if you don’t fancy going against real people, which is nice. You can also customise your Mii character.

Metroid Ravenous

This new Metroid game looks like a follow up to Metroid Dread, though we don’t know the developer. There’s clearly parrying and more like before in this one. It looks very fast paced, too, and Samus seems to be feeding on enemies. Oh and it’s out January 28th. Blimey (x2). There will be Amiibo and special editions. Blimey (x3).

Montage Number Three

Mario Kart World is getting an update. Courses from Super Mario Kart. The original one. They know how to get me back, that’s for sure. Choco Island, Vanilla Lake, the gang is all here. There’s more coming to Knockout Tour as well. This seems like a significant update, and it’s free, and it’s out TODAY.

Mega Man: Dual Override is coming next year, and a new trailer showed off a lovely look visual style, as well as Proto Man. This is coming in Spring 2027, and will have two new Amiibo as well.

HD2D is all the rage right now, and the next trailer isn’t quite that style exactly, but it’s close enough. Eternal Anima is coming on March 4th, 2027.

Danganronpa 2×2 gets a showing next, with Spike Chunsoft reminding us it’s got two versions of the story (original, and slayhem mode). We already knew this one was pushed back to 2027, but it’s good to see it getting the love the series deserves. It’s coming on January 14th, so very early in 2027.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is coming to Switch 2 on October 22nd.

Metal Slug Ultimate Collection is coming from SNK, which includes Metal Slug 1-6, X, 7, Advance, and the original Location Test version, which is appearing for the first time in 30 years. The collection is coming in 2027 to both Switch and Switch 2.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX is coming to both consoles as well, which will please Lyle. Tag Force GX is coming on February 16th, 2027.

Romancing Saga 3: Destinies United is another Square Enix title coming to Switch 2. This is a remake with upgraded visuals, and is coming on February 16th, 2027 — again, to both Switch consoles.

It Takes Two is coming on October 15th, Palia Switch 2 Edition is December, Bluey is on October 15th. Hot Wheels September 10th, Fading Echo on September 17th.  Hell is Us is hitting Switch 2 on October 8th. Guardians of the Galaxy is November 5th. Phew.

Persona 4

Atlus got the spotlight near the conclusion of the Nintendo Direct September 2026, with an extended trailer. We already knew the date, but this version is May 20th, 2027.

Persona 6

Another very cryptic green teaser confirmed Persona 6 is coming to Nintendo Switch, at some point.

Kirby and the World Beyond

The final announcement of the Direct was a new Kirby title. Looking similar in art style to Kirby and the Forgotten Land, that was a superb game, so it’s good to see Nintendo coming back for more. I get the feeling people may have perhaps been thinking this was Mario to begin with, due to the greenery on show, and how badly folks want a new 3D Mario game after Odyssey.

We got a good look at the sword power Kirby can use, and the pink lovely seems to be smashing holes into the fabric of the world, so that’s new. It’s Kirby’s 35th anniversary, and Nintendo says there will be more to come on that soon.

Kirby and the World Beyond is coming in Spring 2027.

Phew, that’s it. Let us know if you liked the show, or what you loved and didn’t in the comment section below.
