It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done one of these posts, mainly because I keep forgetting to write one, but I’ve set a weekly calendar reminder now so you should start seeing a steady stream of weekly deals again.
It’s a good thing too, as we’re now officially in Silly Season for releases, and with games like The Blood of Dawnwalker, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy all vying for your money, it might be a good opportunity to take a breather and catch up on some slightly older and cheaper titles.
I’ve done some digging and found a handful of budget-friendly titles that’ll tide you over while you wait for sales on recent releases, or for the GTA bomb to hit us all in November.

Nintendo
A real eclectic mix of deals from Nintendo this week. If the GTA reveal on Netflix got you hankering for prime Rockstar then Red Dead Redemption is a safe bet. Alternatively, Persona 4 Golden is great value, and Bugsnax is a great game that will go to places you don’t expect (IYKYK).

Xbox
A mixed bag for Xbox, but Guardians of the Galaxy is well worth that price if you’ve never tried it before. Cluedo might seem like a leftfield pick, but these Hasbro digital board games are a lot of fun in multiplayer and at less than 4 quid it should be easy to convince friends to join you.

Similar to Cluedo above, Talisman: Digital Edition is a hoot with friends and it’s a steal this week. Lyle told us in a recent bonus podcast that Titanium Court is very good, so if you disagree then take it up with him, and Vampyr will scratch a Dawnwalker-esque itch at a fraction of the price.
